With an impressive track record of wins over a 20 year span, Martin is a results-driven, intellectually agile, strategic business development and technology licensing executive with extensive experience in developing corporate strategy, building asymmetrical strategic relationships and negotiating complex transactions. Martin has built and led strategic alliance and business development teams for several pre-IPO and publicly traded technology companies.

Previously, Martin was the CEO at Cohda Wireless, where he successfully closed a Series A round, raised the company’s profile and negotiated a licensing deal with a Fortune 100 vendor in its core franchise (details under NDA). Prior to Cohda, Suter was Vice President, Business Development at MeshNetworks, Inc., a classic tech transfer/disruptive technology success story, having achieved a major liquidity event for its investors in Q4/2004 with its acquisition by Motorola (NYSE:MOT).

Prior to MeshNetworks, Martin was responsible for building several high profile alliances with and for leading technology companies, including Fujitsu, Microsoft, Netscape, SUN Microsystems, and Teradata. Additionally, Martin has successfully negotiated technology transfer, distribution and/or licensing deals with companies like 3Com, BioChem Pharma, Dow Chemical, Exodus, Fujitsu, IBM, Microsoft, Motorola, Netscape and SUN.

Martin has held senior management positions for Cohda Wireless, MeshNetworks, Inc., Cognos, EMAAR PJSC (Dubai), Nortel’s Disruptive Technology group, FastLane Technologies and Corel Corporation.

As the VP, Secretary & General Counsel at MeshNetworks, Cliff was instrumental in his orchestration of all legal work in a highly complex, fast-paced environment. Prior to joining MeshNetworks, Cliff was Vice President & General Counsel at TVG Network, a subsidiary of Gemstar Company, TV Guide International, where he was responsible for all legal and regulatory matters related to the network. Before TVG, Cliff spent several years at AmTote International, Inc., a multinational company providing computer hardware and software for on-line transaction processing, as Vice President and General Counsel.

Kpartnerz performs the international business development role for companies looking to export their products to or license their intellectual property in Asia.  Its clients are as diverse as Fortune 500 companies and three-person startups.  While primarily focused on wireless telephony and data, other clients include consumer electronics and medical equipment.  Most recently, Kpartnerz sold three licenses on behalf of MeshNetworks, one of the world leaders in wireless ad hoc peer-to-peer networking.  Other technology clients have included Lucent, Motorola, Rambus, Triton Network Systems, and VocalTec.  Allen H. Kupetz, the president and founder of Kpartnerz, served as the telecommunications policy officer for the U.S. Embassy in Seoul from 1992-96 and is a frequently published author and conference speaker.
